Our Newest Arrivals & Back in Stock (Part II) | Twelve Producers We’re Excited to Pour

Written by Jaime Jalandoni

There is a distinct momentum that builds when a portfolio comes into full focus. Following up on our recent arrivals, this second installment deepens our exploration of two regions that continue to define the pinnacle of craft and terroir: Burgundy and Champagne.

This selection reflects the heart of our sourcing philosophy at PWX—balancing rare, front-line discoveries from dynamic young vignerons with the long-awaited return of iconic benchmarks. Each producer in this shipment represents an uncompromised commitment to site, vintage, and viticulture.

Whether you are seeking an energetic new producer to expand your horizon or securing an allocation of an established favorite for the cellar, Jojo, our team, and I are thrilled to share these exceptional bottles with you.

NEW ARRIVALS

Domaine Amiot-Servelle (Chambolle-Musigny)

Domaine Amiot-Servelle remains an insider’s pick for pure, benchmark sites in Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis. Certified organic since the 2010 vintage and now firmly under the stewardship of the new generation—Antoine and Prune Amiot-Servelle—the estate continues to refine its approach toward lighter-touch extraction and precision working out of its updated cuverie. The latest arrivals showcase the hallmark perfume and lacy texture of the commune, counterbalanced by a structural vitality that reflects their meticulous farming. From their classic regional/village cuvées to the coveted premier crus and grand crus, these wines deliver an effortless, silky expression of Pinot Noir anchored by pristine, crystalline fruit.

Les Horées (Catharina Sadde)

Since founding Les Horées, now based in a winery next door to the Beaune train station, German-born enologist Catharina Sadde has rapidly established herself as one of the most gifted and sought-after vignerons due to her wines’ ability to evoke her deeply thoughtful and sensible character. Having honed her craft at icons like Comte de Vogüé, Marquis d’Angerville, Cécile Tremblay and Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, her biodynamic approach in the vineyards and willingness to think outside of the box in her cellar strike a balance of technicality and creativity. Utilizing precise whole-cluster fermentations, basket presses, and zero sulphur at crush, her micro-cuvées—from her uniquely textural Aligoté to her regional and village reds—exude extraordinary aromatic purity, energy, and a weightless, refined intensity.

Messager-Germain

An exciting new addition to our Burgundy portfolio, Messager-Germain represents an exciting intersection of a talented new producer and the raw terroir potential of Fixin. With a fanatical devotion to soil health, organic viticulture, and minimal cellar handling, this micro-estate produces wines defined by intense mineral tension, vibrant acidity, and transparent fruit profiles. The lower-intervention approach in the cellar allows the nuanced variations of their climats to shine through with striking clarity. These are energetic and nuanced wines that speak directly to the contemporary palate—offering immediate drinkability paired with authentic, unadorned Burgundian character.

Théo Dancer

Théo Dancer’s personal project adjacent to his family’s historic label, Domaine Dancer in Chassagne-Montrachet, has drawn acclaim despite the minuscule production for his micro-négociant endeavours, which are adorned with a label under his own name. Approaching winemaking with an independent, experimental ethos, Théo focuses on 4 vineyards across France for this boutique project. His wines are texturally singular and driven by a compelling, reduction-accented minerality. These small-scale bottlings are a testament to his curiosity through truly exciting expressions of Aligoté, Savagnin, Gamay and Grenache.

BACK IN STOCK

Domaine Camille Thiriet

Operating out of both the historic Château de Comblanchien and a Corgoloin cellar purchased from a retired vigneron, Camille Thiriet and Matt Chittick continue to capture the imaginations of Burgundy collectors worldwide. They’ve done this by highlighting the true potential which exists in the terroir of Côte de Nuits Villages. Their hand-crafted, low-intervention approach—featuring manual basket pressing and whole-cluster fermentations—yields wines of startling delicacy, aromatic lift, and transparent regional terroir. Back in stock for the third annual release are their single-vineyard expressions of the Côte de Nuits-Villages alongside their vibrant regional cuvées. These are honest, soulful Burgundies that offer immediate charm anchored by precise structural finesse, which I had the pleasure of helping harvest in this 2024 release.

Domaine Alex Moreau

Following the evolution of the historic family domaine, Alex Moreau continues to cement his reputation as one of Chassagne-Montrachet’s premier white winemakers. His cellar work balances chiselled, flinty reduction with rich, generous fruit, yielding Chardonnays of immense drive, structural density, and persistent limestone length. The returning allocation now includes, for the first time, a key village Chassagne-Montrachet, offering an essential cuvée for anyone who values tension, weight, and precision in a balanced representation of the village.

Domaine Hubert Lamy

Hubert Lamy

Olivier Lamy’s relentless experimentation with high-density planting (up to 30,000 vines per hectare) and custom oak vessels has redefined expectations for Saint-Aubin and Chassagne-Montrachet. The latest restock brings back his ultra-precise, chiselled whites, which stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the finest Premier and Grand Crus in the Côte de Beaune. After receiving honours for the Three Michelin Grapes award, this benchmark producer in Saint-Aubin has gained even more recognition. Defined by vibrant acidity, intense, crushed-rock minerality, and extraordinary textural density, cuvées such as En Remilly and Derrière Chez Edouard remain fine examples of what can be accomplished in the space of contemporary white Burgundy.

Champagne Egly-Ouriet

Few grower Champagnes command the reverence and authority of Francis Egly’s historic domaine in Ambonnay. Celebrated for their uncompromising dedication to Grand Cru Pinot Noir, old vines, low yields, barrel fermentation, and extended lees aging (often 3 to 10 years), Egly-Ouriet creates Champagnes of profound vinous depth, power, and architectural balance. Back in stock across key releases—including the iconic Grand Cru Brut Tradition, V.P. (Vieillissement Prolongé), and the mythical 100% Pinot Noir Les Crayères—these wines are highly sought after and highlight the capabilities of what a grower Champagne can accomplish.

Champagne Larmandier-Bernier

In the same vein as Egly-Ouriet, this family-run grower based in the Côte des Blancs crafts terroir-driven, low-dosage Champagnes of purity and elegance. Utilizing indigenous yeast fermentations in stockinger foudres and neutral oak casks, their single-terroir, single-vintage, and non-vintage cuvées showcase the chalk-laden soils of Vertus, Cramant, Avize, and Oger. Back in stock are the core range classics—Latitude, Longitude, Terre de Vertus, and the magnificent Vieille Vigne du Levant—consistently offering chalky extract, salty minerality, and ethereal finesse.

Domaine Bonneau du Martray

Exclusively dedicated to Grand Cru production from the iconic hill of Corton, Bonneau du Martray stands as an undisputed titan of this Burgundy site. Under complete biodynamic viticulture and meticulous cellar management, the estate’s Corton-Charlemagne and Corton Rouge Grand Crus articulate the power, complex minerality, and monumental aging potential of this historic terroir. Back in stock through tight allocations, under a new label, these bottlings represent a further refined expression of this pinnacle of noble Burgundian terroir.

Domaine Paul Pernot

For those who enjoy classic, opulent, and broad-shouldered expressions of Puligny-Montrachet, Domaine Paul Pernot remains an essential cornerstone. Farming exceptionally choice old-vine parcels across Puligny’s finest Premier and Grand Crus (Les Folatières, Les Pucelles, and Bâtard-Montrachet), Pernot delivers wines characterized by generous orchard fruit, rich texture, and seamless, integrated acidity. This restock brings back these classic Côte de Beaune benchmarks, offering immediate appeal and substantial cellaring grace.

Domaine Georges Noëllat (Maxime Cheurlin)

Since taking over his family’s historic estate at the age of 20, Maxime Cheurlin has elevated Domaine Georges Noëllat into the top echelon of Vosne-Romanée producers. Working with prized old vines in iconic terroirs across Vosne-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny, Maxime crafts reds characterized by extraordinarily plush red fruit, silky, refined tannins, and suave, spice-laden depth. Returning to our shelves are limited allocations of his village and Premier Cru bottlings (Les Beaux Monts, Les Chaumes, and Les Petits Monts), celebrated for their seductive fragrance, velvety depth, and commanding elegance.
